“Leave Your Mark” is an interactive musical sculpture first installed at Figment, Boston in 2017. It consists of five polished bars mounted in a frame and a mallet viewers use to strike notes with the bars.

The mallet is a bit usual though. It has a metal punch embedded in its center.
When the viewers strike the bars, the punch will raise a small divot on surface of the bars. This has the effect that when a note is played, a permanent mark is made on the bar.
